PRECAST SLAB LEVELING

Floor leveling is the core service of our business. With the widest range of cements and pumping equipment, we are able to pour any size job and are the only company In Ontario that offers gypsum, anhydrite, and cementitious/portland based cements together.

We will be breaking floor leveling out over the next few posts based on substrate conditions. The four main substrates that we pour over are: precast slabs, concrete slabs, wood sub-floors, & radiant heat over-pours.
Since we post so much of it, let’s talk about precast slab leveling. When a precast building is erected, a camber exists which is an upward deflection or curvature in the slabs. Once erected, we are brought in to pour over or “skim” the slabs by pouring one of our self-leveling cements in order to correct the camber and produce a flat floor. The net result is the camber is corrected and a flat, hard floor is handed over to the flooring contractor where he can lay his flooring goods down with ease.
