CONCRETE SLAB LEVELING
Concrete slab leveling is the most common application in hi-rise towers in the GTA.
Once the forming contractor has poured his slabs, we are brought in to take the existing existing concrete slabs of 3/8” in 10’-0” to a flooring contractor tolerance of 1/8” over 10’-0” flat. This is done through either a “spot, fill, and grind” method where we grind down the high spots and fill up the low spots with material OR a “full flood” method where we pour up to a fixed benchmark, mitigating any window clips or rained out slabs in the process.
While we can still utilize our pump trucks on project specific jobs, space for a staging pump is an issue for hi-rise projects (especially downtown Toronto), therefore, our hi-rise crews tackle these projects by barrel mixing material on site. Our hi-rise crews are able to turn over a floor a week which keeps trades moving and speeds up our clients construction schedules considerably.
